GT Welcomes Emily Gardiner

Hello, I would like to introduce myself! I’m Emily Gardiner, the new Marketing Manager for the firm, and I’m excited to be a part of the Gardiner Thomsen team. As the Marketing Manager, I’ll be managing our Facebook and Twitter accounts, and attending and volunteering at trade shows and events that the firm sponsors, as well as a variety of other behind-the-scenes work.

My background in marketing began after I graduated from the University of Iowa and took a position at a real estate company in Fort Collins, Colorado. While working there, I honed my marketing skills and strengthened my knowledge in the areas of social media, advertising, public relations and customer service. Working closely with the realtors and their clients taught me how to manage many different projects and personalities, and nurture my creativity and positive attitude, while staying on top of the Colorado real estate market trends. Among all my responsibilities, I believe my biggest impact to the company was made through communicating with clients in sensitive situations, developing corporate communication and direct mail programs, and helping farm neighborhoods to bring in new business.

As I assume my new position at Gardiner Thomsen, I look forward to implementing all of the best business practices that I have learned in the past few years, as well as communicating with and getting to know the firm’s clients on a personal level. When I’m not in the office, you can find me in the great outdoors; I enjoy running, biking, traveling and tending to Gardiner Thomsen’s company garden, which the firm’s staff and I planted this spring. I’m excited to help my father (Dennis), uncle (Mark), the other partners, managers and staff at Gardiner Thomsen continue to grow the firm my grandfather started nearly 50 years ago, and sharing the story of the business that is near and dear to my heart.
