GT Summer Happenings

Summer 2013 has been a very busy one for us and we are sad to see it end! As a proud supporter and member of the Agribusiness Association of Iowa (AAI), we sponsored holes at each of the golf outings held throughout the state this summer. We had a canopy set up with giveaways at Hole 10 in Dike and Okoboji and we want to thank everyone for stopping by and saying hi. We are already looking forward to the next one and hope to see you all again! We also attended and sponsored the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives and Tax for Accounting for Cooperatives Conference this year in Charleston, South Carolina. If you were there, we hope you were able to stop at our booth!

We had another successful staff training this summer that helped kick off the start of busy season. This is a great time for our company as all of the different offices come together for one week to further their education and team build. We end this week with our annual I-Cubs Night at the Ballpark to celebrate everyone’s hard work. Another exciting endeavor that began this summer season was the Des Moines offices addition of a garden. It has been a lot of work and requires daily attention (even on the weekends) but we have seen quite the reward -- Tomatoes galore, jalapenos, cucumbers, green peppers, onions and basil! It grows so fast we can barely keep up! Overall, GT employees had a very busy yet fun summer, whether they were working an event, training, attending a baseball game, gardening or…oh yeah, working!
