GT Summer Happenings

AAI

Summer 2014 was a very busy one for us and we are sad to see it end! As a proud supporter and member of the Agribusiness Association of Iowa (AAI), we sponsored holes at each of the golf outings held throughout the state. We had a canopy set up with giveaways at Hole 10 in Dike and Okoboji and we want to thank everyone for stopping by and saying, “Hi!” We are already looking forward to the next one and hope to see you all again! Staff Training We also attended and sponsored the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives and Tax for Accounting for Cooperatives Conference this year in San Diego, California. If you were there, we hope you were able to stop at our booth! We had another successful staff training that helped kick off the start of our busy season. This is a great time for our company as all of the different offices come together for one week to further their education and team build. This year, we added a day of golf or, at least, what was supposed to be golf. We have learned that our staff here at GT are better auditors than they are golfers! With our training and golfing behind us, we ended the week on a high note with our annual I-Cubs Night at the Ballpark to celebrate everyone’s hard work! Night at the Ballpark Overall, GT employees had a very busy, yet fun, summer. A few employees were busy getting married: Tammy Werner, Robert & Emily Bell (Gardiner), and Seth Brittenham; some were off passing their CPA exams: Matt Gardiner, Sean Jones and Michael Baedke; and Managing Partner, Dennis Gardiner, was busy becoming a grandfather to his oldest daughter’s first born baby boy! The busy season is upon us, the cold weather is coming in, and we are constantly reminded of how quickly the holidays are approaching… Summer is gone and we are excited for what’s to come in 2015!
