Upcoming Events
MGFA Evening Hospitality We will participating in the Evening Hospitality Event on Wednesday, March 7th at the Minnesota Grain and Feed Association Convention and Trade Show and would love for you to stop by our hospitality booth that night starting at 5:30 PM. The convention is taking place at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel this year. We will be setup in the Winona Room located up an escalator from the convention trade show on the third floor. There will be bars in these rooms and drink tickets will be provided as well as various food items. We will have door prizes so please come by, say hi, grab some food/drinks and sign up for our door prize! We look forward to seeing you there!
GFAI Trade Show We will have a booth setup at the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois Annual Convention and Trade Show February 18-20 in the Peoria Civic Center. Our booth number is 327 and the trade show opens at 3:00 PM on that Sunday. We will have door prizes you can sign up for and you do not have to be present to win so we would love if you could find time to come by, say hi, and sign up for a door prize!
Dennis Joins Alliant Group Strategic Advisory Board
Dennis Gardiner accepted a position on the Alliant Group Strategic Advisory Board. This board consists of a group of individuals considered experts in their fields (CPAs, Former IRS Commissioners, Senators, Congressmen, etc.) that are brought together throughout the year for retreats and think tanks. Dennis hopes to bring his knowledge of agricultural auditing to these events as well as gain insight from other board members.

Anniversaries
In December of 2017, Dave Thomsen celebrated his 40th anniversary of starting to work for Dan Gardiner. Next time you see him be sure to congratulate him! I am sure he will still be saying “I am too darn old for this stuff ” (I have obviously cleaned it up). Perhaps we should hang the “old SOB” label on Dave, which Dennis and Mark’s dad liked to call himself. Thank you Dave for all you have done for Gardiner Thomsen.
In August of 2017, Mark Gardiner celebrated his 35th anniversary of starting with the firm. Be sure to congratulate him, next time you see him. Might have a “tug of war” over who should wear the “old SOB” label. Thank you Mark for all you have done for Gardiner Thomsen.
