Robert Bell

Bio

Robert is a seasoned Audit + Tax Partner at Gardiner + Company with a Master’s in Accounting and a CPA license. His career path is uniquely rooted in his early years as a firefighter in Northern Colorado, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and service, which he now channels into his work in tax and finance. After relocating to Des Moines in 2013, Robert joined his father-in-law’s family business, deepening his professional ties in the community and further strengthening his expertise.

Hobbies

Outside of work, Robert is a devoted family man, spending time with his wife, Emily, and their three sons – Wes, Wyatt, and Ward. He is actively involved in their athletic activities, either coaching or cheering them on. An avid Denver Broncos fan, Robert also enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing racquetball, and discovering new craft IPAs.

With a comprehensive understanding of both audit and tax functions, he oversees the tax department at Gardiner + Company, focusing on cooperative taxation, tax planning, equity management, and comprehensive accounting support. His professional memberships include the AICPA, ISCPA, NSAC, and NCFC, and he is licensed in Iowa. With his hands-on approach, Robert often participates in activities such as inventory observations, where he measures grain bins and fertilizer sheds, ensuring a comprehensive service for his clients.
