Brian Sullivan

Bio

Brian Sullivan is an Audit Partner at Gardiner + Company, where he has spent the past 25 years developing his expertise and contributing to the firm’s success. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Brian joined Gardiner right out of college and has remained with the firm ever since. As a CPA, his primary focus is on auditing credit unions, and he takes great pride in building long-lasting client relationships based on trust and collaboration. Throughout his career, Brian has consistently valued teamwork, finding the most satisfaction in working closely with colleagues to solve complex problems and meet deadlines. One of the biggest challenges Brian has faced in his role is navigating the rapidly changing landscape of auditing, particularly the impact of technological disruption. He points to automation and AI as some of the biggest hurdles for the industry, especially as they transform how audits are conducted. Despite these challenges, Brian has adapted, overcoming obstacles such as managing remote audits efficiently and effectively.

Hobbies

Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his loving wife and three active boys, who keep him on his toes. He’s also an avid golfer and a passionate football fan, always cheering on the Chiefs.
