Daniel Gardiner Memorial Scholarship Winners

Each year Gardiner Thomsen, CPAs offers 2 “Daniel Gardiner Memorial” scholarships in honor of my dad, the founder of Gardiner Thomsen. The scholarships are awarded to this year’s graduates from Waukee High School, and who plan to attend a post-secondary school to pursue a degree in accounting. The 2 candidates will each receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

The winners of the scholarships this year not only had excellent grade point averages, but a very impressive list of participation in extra-curricular activities, honors and accomplishments. The winners of the scholarships this year were Zoe Scheve and Jordan Voorhees. Zoe plans to attend Iowa State University and double major in finance and accounting. She is the daughter of Ray and Mary Scheve. Jordan plans to attend the University of Northern Iowa and also double major in accounting and finance. Jordan is the daughter of Al and Connie Voorhees.
