My brother and I created a yearly memorial scholarship on behalf of our dad who passed away this February.   Our dad was a 1950 graduate of Waukee High School.   This scholarship is awarded to 2 senior graduates from Waukee High School who plan to attend  post-secondary school and pursue a degree in accounting.  The 2 candidates will each receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

The winners of the scholarships for this year were Brianne Pudenz and Grant Luther, both of Waukee.  Brianne plans to attend Iowa State University and is currently an intern with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the accounting department.   Grant also plans to attend Iowa State University and work towards a double major in accounting and vocal performance.  Grant is employed by Hy-Vee and is an intern with Drake University in the athletic department.  In addition, Grant also performs the National Anthem at many events, including First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move Campaign”.

We wish them success during their undergraduate studies!
