Daniel “Mark” Gardiner
CPA, CFE, Partner
Mark Gardiner started working with the company in 1982. He attended college at Drake University and the American Institute of Business. He graduated in August of 1982 with a degree in Accounting. Throughout college he worked in retail, but knew when he graduated that he would follow in his father’s (Dan Gardiner) footsteps. After working with Gardiner + Company for over 20 years, he was promoted to Partner in 2003.
During his free time, Mark enjoys golfing and spending time with his family. He has two sons, Alex and Jakob, and a daughter, Megan. He is an avid Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Blues Hockey fan. Mark is a former board member of the Walnut Creek Little League, on which he served for 15 years. He also served 13 years as a board member for the Waukee Parks and Recreation Department.
Mark is a CPA licensed in Iowa and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives. Mark specializes in ag-related businesses, especially farmer cooperatives. He takes pride in his ability to assist clients with their accounting and auditing needs.
